Since the kitchen has been known to be the busiest part of most households, some of the things stored in the kitchen tend to degrade and sustain damages over time. Improper storing of kitchen items play a major role in whether you’re going to spend more bucks for constantly replacing those things or not.

If you always have a habit of directly stacking up your non-stick pans, you better stop doing it right now. To prevent this from happening, simply place a paper towel or a thin cloth between each pan in the stack. This trick works so well as it serves as a layer that protects your pans from possible scratches.
Never, for the sake of everyone’s safety on your home put the knives inside the cabinet – especially the elevated ones. One obvious reason is that someone could accidentally try to reach something in the cabinet only to get one of them accidentally fall over that person. Moreover, knives are sharp and pointed objects that also have the capability of damaging other things that it comes in contact with. So, try to invest for a knife block or a magnetic knife bar instead.
Some people prefer storing wine glasses upside down, but in reality, this is only applicable if you have a wine rack. While it may be tempting to do it without the wine rack due to the reason that avoids the accumulation of dust in the glass wine, storing them with its proper position remains to be the better option. You see, the rim or the upper circular part of the glass tend to be its most fragile part. So, having those glasses upside down runs the risk of breakage. Be sure to put them inside a safe and enclosed space, base first.
Organizing your spices based on matching jars is another habit that most people do. It may seem like a good idea, but it’s not. Aside from the fact that transferring those spices to other container is basically just a waste of time, it can also lead to double storage wherein you’ll be needing another container in case a new spice wasn’t able to fit on its original storage bottle. This could result in difficulty to properly identify them in the long run. One good recommendation is to arrange them based on their frequency of application instead.
